Family is Family began as a small, community-driven initiative in Kibagare, founded by a group of passionate local residents who sought to create meaningful change in their neighborhood. Witnessing the challenges that many families faced, the founders came together with the belief that by focusing on community assets and working collaboratively, they could create sustainable development. Through this collective vision, the organization was officially established as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) with the goal of improving the social and economic well-being of Kibagare residents.

In its early years, Family is Family focused on addressing the immediate needs of the community, such as food security, education, and health awareness. The organization quickly built strong partnerships with local stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and local government offices, to maximize its impact. Through mentorship programs, health campaigns, and community outreach, Family is Family made significant strides in fostering a spirit of unity and self-reliance among Kibagare residents.

As the years went by, Family is Family’s reach and influence grew. The organization expanded its scope to address issues such as environmental sustainability, community policing, and youth empowerment. Today, we are proud to have touched the lives of hundreds of families through various programs and initiatives.
